The North Pole Buzz is abuzz with news of a snow making elf's mischievous prank gone awry! Early Thursday afternoon, Snowflake Santa's head elf in charge of snow making decided to have a bit of fun and decided to give the Midwest a late winter snowfall. The head elf, thought it would be funny to create a winter wonderland in the middle of spring. Little did the head elf know that his prank would have far-reaching consequences. The Midwest was caught off guard by the late snowfall, with temperatures dropping to a frigid 15 degrees. Schools were closed, flights were delayed and people were left scrambling for warm clothes and blankets. After the prank was discovered, Santa was forced to issue an apology for the prank gone wrong. The head elf was also given a stern talking to and was told to never do it again. Thankfully, the snow melted away as quickly as it came and the Midwest was able to get back to normal. Despite the inconvenience, many people were able to find some silver linings in the sudden snowfall, with some taking advantage of the unexpected snow day by spending time with family and friends.
