In a bizarre turn of events, Santa and his elves were left scrambling after an accident involving the North Pole's present wrapping machine. According to reports, the incident occurred while the team was conducting routine maintenance on the machine.
An elf, who wished to remain anonymous, said that the machine was accidentally activated while they were working on it, causing wrapping paper, ribbons and bows to fly everywhere. The elves were sent running for cover as the machine went into overdrive, wrapping anything and everything in its path, including several of Santa's reindeer, the elves' tools, and even Santa himself.
"It was quite a mess," said the elf. "We were lucky that no one was injured, but it was quite a challenge to unwrap everything."
After several hours of chaos, the elves were able to shut down the machine and begin the process of unwrapping the presents, reindeer and other objects. It's still unclear how this will affect their Christmas preparations, but they are hoping to have everything back on track soon.
Santa, meanwhile, was heard muttering something about needing a vacation after this incident. "Ho ho ho, I think I'll stick to delivering the presents from now on," he said, before disappearing in a puff of smoke.
The elves assure that all the presents will be on time for Christmas Eve delivery.
