North Pole Buzz: Santa Celebrates Earth's Rotation Day

Santa and his elves have been celebrating World Rotation Day for centuries. The day is a tribute to French scientist, Leon Foucault, who first proved that the Earth rotates around its axis. Santa and his elves use this knowledge to help with their gift delivery around the world. Santa and his elves use the Earth’s rotation to help them deliver gifts in an efficient and timely manner. By knowing which way the Earth rotates, they can calculate the shortest and fastest route to deliver gifts to children all over the world. On World Rotation Day, Santa and his elves give tribute to Leon Foucault by celebrating the day with a special feast. They also take the time to remember how Foucault’s discovery has helped them in their own work. Santa and his elves are thankful for Leon Foucault and World Rotation Day, as it helps them continue to deliver joy and happiness to children all around the world.
